The Tennessean is the main daily newspaper serving the residents of Nashville, Tennessee. Founded in 1907, the paper used to be called The Nashville Tennessean until 1970. It is currently owned by Gannett Corporation and has become the most widely circulated paper in Nashville, covering all 39 counties located in middle Tennessee, as well as eight counties located in southern Kentucky.
